MY SPECULATIVE DAIRY
Media Information Literacy (MIL) presents essential competencies and skills to equip citizen in the 21st Century with the abilities to engage with media and information system effectively and develop critical thinking and life-long learning skills to socialize and become active citizen.
MIL helps us to be Literate enough on how to use properly, correctly, in social media .
MIL includes Information and communication literacy and digital literacy. MIL defined as a set of competencies that empowers citizens to access, retrieve, understand evaluate, understand, and use , create as well as share information and media content in all formats, using various tools , in a critical, ethical and effective way, in order to participate and engage in personal, professional and societal activities.
Nowadays , people getting engage on what we call social media , just like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram , etc. But the problem is we don't know how to use accordingly or suitably the following social media. Many of us , use it as our comfort zone.
As a student Media is very useful, we can access easily get information, through media literacy we can analyze messages, develop different mediums of communication ensure that reaches in most effective manner.
Media Bring the world onto our homes. It does this by making use of different modes of communication. People Through this learn about so many things such as war and peace, the environment, new scientific discoveries and so on. Most of us , In fact all of us depends on the media to know what's happening in our physical, social, economic and political environment around us.
Almost everything we know about people, places, and events that we can see first hand comes from this sources only. We also dependent on the media and entertainment pleasures.
Generations of the future must understand how the media courses affect society. So , in short, it can be safely concluded that the benefits of media literacy can be not ignored and they continue to increase with an equal pace.
MOOC is very useful as a student MOOC helps me to improve my Academic skills and it helps me in the future in job seeking as well. Currently, I enrolled in MOOC with the course of ENGLISH FOR CAREER DEVELOPMENT and ACADEMIC CREATIVE WRITING .. In this way of participating in some of programs of media it can help us a students.
Media and Information Literacy (MIL) is really Important because in this learning you will know how to be a Media literate, it teaches us on how to use correctly the media in a good way because media is very helpful and there are many positive outlook or result in media most of us use media in a different way we use it in bad intentions .
In this lesson I've learned a lot of things in MIL I can't state it one by one but I'm pretty some of it
i can use it in my daily life as a students (MIL ) helps me to more Responsible in using media and being as a active users of media we know our limitations as we go along the the way.
Today, we live in the world where everything is more expedient , and the technology
is more serviceable to us , and in just one Click everything will change so, as an individual who has
a great contribution if we are all MEDIA LITERATE .we will change the world
so to my fellow youth and students Think before you click!
